It was truly the perfect opportunity for our MRP Community to gather together to celebrate all things ‘MRP’ – respect, diversity and inclusion.

A huge thank you to Tim Nicholls Member for Clayfield, Trevor Evans MP Member for Brisbane Councillor David McLachlan, Director Rugby Australia Paul McLean, Chairman Qld Rugby Union Jeff Millar, President Brothers Rugby Club David Hine, CEO Variety Qld Steve Wakerly, CEO Streamline BPO Ben Travers, our Sponsors - Managing Director Manitou Australia Stuart Walker, Chief Operating Officer Vanderfield Guy Hoffensetz and representing our new MRP ball sponsor CPL Chief Financial Officer Danielle Ready, from our Foundational Partner organisations Partner PWC Private Clients Samantha Vidler and Partner Holding Redlich Trent Taylor, Chairman GingerCloud Foundation David Groth, Principal Ray White Ascot and our Auctioneer Dwight Ferguson, Modified Rugby Program (MRP) Ambassadors Tim Horan AM, Nathan Sharpe, Andrew Ready, rugby guests James Tuttle and Michael Gunn for both their attendance and unwavering support season-in and season-out!

The MRP Team was astounded by the generosity from the likes of Tim Horan AM and Stephen Moore, Nathan Sharpe, PwC Accountants, Andrew Ready, St. George Bank, Anita Chesterman, Jack and Jodie Perlinksi, Matthew White from MK Media, Damian Cavanagh from Electronic Living, and Dwight Ferguson from Ray White Ascot, who all considerably contributed to our auction items this year. The Auction Items were worth over $38,000, which well and truly exceeded previous years! It surely ignited some competitiveness around the room, even from our MRP Community who could not attend and organised others to bid on their behalf.

But, the prizes didn’t stop there! We were fortunate enough to receive over $11,000 worth of Raffle Items, kindly donated by Verve Portraits, Studio Pilates Hamilton, Bright Eyes, Australia Rugby, Customised Learning, Shirt Studio Corporate, Spicers Balfour Hotel, Reading Cinema, Channel 9, Channel 7, MK Media, Tim Nicholls, Member for Clayfield, David McLachlan, Hamish Mcleaan from Grey Nicolls, Stu Walker from Manitou, Fourth Wave, Alison Walmsley, Trevor Evans, MP. Federal Member for Brisbane, and Ian Jacobs. There were certainly plenty of lucky winners seated across Ruggers Restaurant leaving with amazing prizes!

The lunch also allowed MRP Ambassador Nathan Sharpe to announce the partnership between Gingercloud Foundation and Classic Wallabies, who have a shared goal to encourage more children and young adults with learning and perceptual disabilities to play Rugby.

The MRP Team would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who has and continues to support the program. Your unwavering generosity does not go unnoticed and is the backbone of our success.

It is heartwarming to witness our MRP Community sharing our vision towards creating a life without limitation for children and young adults with learning and perceptual disabilities and creating a generation in which disability is normalised.

We are thrilled that we have the ability to continue to move more girls and boys with learning and perceptual disabilities off the sidelines and into the main game.

A huge thank you.

Our hearts are so full.

The MRP Team
